View this historic relic discovered on the floor of the Charleston Harbor. Pictures do not do it justice. You have to see the Hunley, a Confederate submarine now submerged in a 900,000-gallon conservation tank in North Charleston, to believe it really exists!

. A guide will explain what has been learned about The Hunley; how it mysteriously disappeared and how it was found

There will be time to see the exhibits before heading to the Charleston Historic district where you will have time to have lunch on your own, visit museums, sightsee, take a carriage ride, or shop the boutiques on King St.

We will depart Charleston at 3:45 pm. with an ETA back in Bluffton between 6:30 pm and 7 pm.

Trip includes Transportation, entrance fee, snacks, bus driver’s tip. Full payment reserves your space.

Payment can be made two ways: You can charge through paypal by going to your paypal account and type in wkgtg77@gmail.com. This takes you to the Weekend Getaways on a Tank of Gas site where you can enter your credit card. The other way to make a payment is to send a check made payable to Weekend Get-Aways to Scottie Davis, 17 Saint Andrews Lane, Bluffton, SC 29909 (Sun City residents may prefer the lower mailbox).

Cancellation policy: full refund until the deadline date - Sept 5, 2023. You can sell your space after that, but no refund.

The trip leaves Bluffton at 7 am and returns by 7 pm
